Marcel van Rossum
Marcel van Rossum is a consultant to multinational companies in the life sciences and food industries, among others. He helped companies to develop their supply chain in relation to their business strategies. Within Johnson & Johnson he has led several programs in the field of Lean Manufacturing, Yield improvement, S&OP/IBP implementation, Supply Chain network strategy, Tender management, Product portfolio optimization, as well as has experience in moving factories from one region to the other. Working for KPMG he has strengthened his consulting skills in the field of Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Marcel studied Mechanical Engineering prior to his 36 year career in engineering, industrial strategy, consulting operations, supply chain and general management. He has a breadth of industry experience having served in leadership roles at Philips, KPMG, Medicom and Johnson&Johnson.
Marcel started his career working for Philips in the field of Equipment Engineering and later in the field of Industrial Strategy, running big investment programs for expanding the manufacturing footprint in the electronics industry.
Besides his role as consultant, he is also on the Board of Directors for the international food company Heuschen&Schrouff.
Achieving results as a passionate and committed leader in a pragmatic and analytical way and has a proven track record in strategy/transformation assignments as well as in leading operational units. Next to his master degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Technology Eindhoven and was trained in Finance at the London Business School and in Strategic Decision Analysis at Stanford.
